Perth Wedding Photographer

Adam & Sharon Bowyer – Caves House – Saturday 26th February

It was a hot! But what an amazing wedding! I’ve got so many favourite shots from this wedding its hard for me to chose which to post. Normally I wouldn’t post so many photos to my blog but I just couldn’t decide and there were heaps that probably could have made the list as well! This wedding was down south of Perth in Margret River. The reception and ceremony were at Caves House (www.caveshousehotel.com.au) and we took most of the Bridal Portraits at Cape Naturaliste Vineyard (www.capenaturalistevineyard.com.au). The reception was pretty cool and unique! I believe it was the first outdoor reception Caves House have held before. It was on the Emily Rose Terrace, which is usually a ceremony site at Caves House. What a success that turned out to be! The hot weather was perfect for an outdoor reception…

Perth Event Photography – Kulcha on Swan

Saturday 12th March – Natalie Gillespie & Dave Brewer Band

“Scintillating Blues & Sweet Soul” is the best way to describe this gig. Below is the write up from the City of Swan and Kulcha

Definitely a fine example of the quality blues based acts that Western Australia have to offer, Natalie Gillespie Dave brewer band.

Natalie Gillespie is a female singer songwriter whose powerful songs take us on a journey many miles deep. Having toured nationally and internationally with Yothu Yindi, Natalie is currently recording her second album with well loved blues musicians Dave Brewer and Lucky Oceans. Ranging in styles from soulful folk to acoustic rock Natalie is a passionate storyteller with a universal message of struggle, hope and joy.

Dave Brewer is a nationally acclaimed blues virtuoso guitarist and an amazing musician. Despite having played professionally since the mid 1970′s and contributing original songs to many CD’s of his past bands, this new album – The Life of Riley, is…

Perth Event Photography – Tanzanite Launch@Charles Edward Jewellers

Tanzanite launch at Charles Edward Jewellers

I recently photographed the Tanzanite launch at Charles Edward Jewellers. For those who don’t know tanzanite is a blue diamond type jewel. The bluer the jewel the more expensive it is. The launch was heaps of fun with models, great food and drinks, the drum beats african performers and off course the star of the show – Tanzanite Jewellery. Guests even got a special gift pack which included some raw tanzanite stones. If you’re interested in finding out more about Tanzanite please visit www.charlesedward.com for their contact details.

Shepherd Studio’s New Logo

You may have noticed Shepherd Studio is sporting a new logo!

The inspiration for the new logo came from an image I took over 10 years ago that sparked my interest into the world of photography. Check out the photo below. I took it on my Dad’s Olympus E100RS. It hasn’t been edited at all. Its just the camera on a tripod with a slow shutter speed. The photo is of a tree at night in Kings Park, Western Australia and it had a green light shining underneath it. The wind was blowing the trees branches slightly which added a pretty cool effect with the slow shutter speed.

I still love looking at this image today!
